ASVAB testing will be held in the PC lab on Tuesday, Oct. 25 starting at 7:30am for Juniors and Seniors. Please sign up using the link that was emailed to you (students) if you are interested in taking this test.

• PSAT Test date: October 12,  2022. The cost is $18. PSAT/NMSQT scores of junior level students are the criteria used to determine National Merit Scholarship finalists. For more information on the National Merit Scholarship qualifying process, go to:

  • Scholarships: Used by scholarship programs, including the National Merit^® Scholarship Program, to look for eligible students. If you are a sophomore and take it your score doesn’t count towards the National Merit Scholarship program.

Want to know how to access your latest ACT test scores?

As you may know, ACT recently launched a new online platform called MyACT that allows students to access their scores, register for future tests, and more.

Introduction to MyACT.org

MyACT.org is a tool that allows students to register, schedule, and pay for future ACT tests, explore ACT test prep products, and access and send their scores to colleges and institutions of their choice. MyACT.org also contains free college and career planning tools to help students navigate their next steps and provides insight to their interests and how they align to their future goals.

Accessing Scores in MyACT.org

Once the scoring process is completed, students will receive their scores in the mail, if they provided their correct mailing address during testing. Their scores will also be available in MyACT. Their mailed score report will contain a supplement providing them with information on how to create a MyACT account that will successfully link to their state testing scores, using their uniquely assigned ACT ID number included on their mailed report. We will include this supplement  and a MyACT Quick Start Guide on your ACT District testing webpage, in the Interpretation section. Please share the information with your Director of Counseling. If your students have trouble creating or accessing their scores, or if they created an account without using their ACT ID number, please have the students contact ACT Customer Care at https://www.act.org/content/act/en/contact-act.html for assistance.

Here are some wonderful ACT resources compiled by Mr. Richner: --------------------------------------- Get ready for the ACT test by joining a Google Classroom with code: w6xqmla ------------------------------------------------------------------------   Each year, Mr. Richner provides ACT Prep sessions in his room #209 during Academy a couple of times a week, usually 6 weeks or so before each ACT test date.  This is announced schoolwide and sign up sheets are made available in his room or in the Counseling Office.  Any Library or bookstore also has ACT books or CD’s that you can utilize in studying/preparing for the ACT.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ACT  - SAT – PSAT National Test Dates! ACT Student Site  - Information site to learn more about the ACT and college planning.  Improve your ACT scores with ACT PREP work on-line at:  www.actstudent.org or do ACT PREP work here at WHS: 1)  During academy, each 6 weeks prior to a National ACT Test Date, get ACT prep instruction by signing up in Mrs. King's office for the core area of interest. Sign up sheets on Mrs. King's desk. 2) UCM offers a 4 hour ACT prep class during the Fall Contine by TAKING THE TEST  ... and, as you sign up for the Test,  enter the WHS School (Organization) Code:  263-510. WHS will not get your results without that code!
